How to Enter

  • Individuals are to mail in Find-A-Word puzzle, completed or not completed, featured in the Winter 2009 Community Link newsletter to Wheel-Trans Customer Service.  Each entry must include the individual’s name, phone number, address, Wheel-Trans registration number (if applicable), email address (if applicable) and the completed or not completed find-a-word puzzle. All entries shall be sent to the Toronto Transit Commission by:

  • To be eligible, entries must be received by Wheel-Trans on or before 11:59 p.m. (Eastern Standard Time), March 31, 2009, the contest closing date.
  • The Winner will be informed by telephone on Monday, April 6, 2009.
  • Only one entry per individual.

Rules and Regulations

Prize

One (1) prize will be awarded which consists of a portfolio with TTC logo.

The approximately value of the prize is approximately $25, taxes included

Winner

Toronto Transit Commission representatives will select on April 6, 2009, the winner of the prize. The criteria for selecting the winner will be based on the first submission that is randomly drawn, complete or not complete. All decisions shall be final. Odds of winning the prize depend on the number of eligible entries received by the contest Closing date.

Eligibility

The contest is open to legal residents of Ontario. You are not eligible if you are an employee of, a member of the immediate family of, or domiciled with an employee of the Toronto Transit Commission, the TTC Pension Fund Society or the TTC’s advertising agencies or any of their affiliates. Void where prohibited by law.

General Terms and Conditions

By participating in the drawing, you accept and agree to these rules and the decisions of the judges, which shall be final and legally binding in all matters relating to this promotion. All submissions/entries become the sole property of the Toronto Transit Commission and will not be returned. Toronto Transit Commission is authorized to use submitted entries as it sees fit, including usage in advertising. Toronto Transit Commission reserves the right to reproduce the submission/entry in full, crop the submission/entry for reproduction or edit and enhance the submission/entry at its sole discretion. Entrants who have not complied with Official Rules are subject to disqualification. Winners agree to the use of their submission, name, photograph and other likeness for publicity purposes, and grant to the Toronto Transit Commission and its affiliates any and all rights to said use without further compensation. The winner, or his/her parents or legal guardians, shall sign a document attesting to his/her eligibility as stipulated in these Official Rules and releasing the Toronto Transit Commission and its respective affiliated companies and agents of all liability for any damage or loss arising from participation in this contest or from the awarding, acceptance or use of the prizes. The Toronto Transit Commission and its respective affiliated companies are not responsible for printing, distribution, or production errors nor for lost, delayed, destroyed or misdirected entries or for any software malfunctions of any kind or unavailable network, failed or incorrect communications caused by the sender or the equipment or programming. The Toronto Transit Commission and its respective affiliates, may at their sole discretion and without liability, rescind, terminate or amend this promotion if found to contain such an error. The promotion is subject to all federal, provincial and municipal laws.  Prizes shall be accepted as is and may not be exchanged for an amount of money, nor sold or transferred. If the prizes cannot be awarded as described in these Official Rules, TTC, as well as its respective commissioners, officers and employees, reserve the right to substitute a prize or prize component with another of comparable value.
