TBM "Yorkie" Crosses Ottawa Road under York University

Last December the Tunnel Boring Machine “Yorkie” started tunnelling operations from the launch shaft at the Steeles West Station site and began its path toward the Finch West Station site. Yorkie has just completed the milestone of crossing under Ottawa Road on the York University campus. Yorkie has completed 20% of its first drive and is anticipated to be at our Finch West Station extraction shaft by late spring.
