"Torkie" Tunnelling Underway from Steeles West Launch Site

The fourth and last tunnel boring machine to be launched, “Torkie”, began tunnelling this month from the Steeles West launch shaft. Torkie will make its way toward the Finch West station site through the York University station site over the next several months. Torkie is anticipated to arrive at the Finch West station extraction shaft by mid summer.
