The 96 Wilson bus route operates between York Mills Station on the Yonge-University-Spadina Subway, the area of Humberline Drive and Albion Road, the area of Carrier Drive and Albion Road, and the Thistledown Boulevard area, generally in an east-west direction. It also serves the Wilson Station on the Yonge-University-Spadina Subway. Accessible service is provided on the route. York Mills Station is an accessible subway station. Bike racks are available on this route.

Six services are operated. The 96A (York Mills Stn-Carrier Dr via Kipling and John Garland) branch operates at all times except the afternoon and early evenings on Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays, when instead the 96D (York Mills Stn-Carrier Dr via Westmore Dr) branch is operated. The 96B (York Mills Stn-Humberline & Albion Rd) branch operates at all times, seven days a week. The 96C (York Mills Stn/Wilson Stn-Thistledown via Albion Rd) branch operates until approximately 10:00 p.m. from Monday to Saturday, and until approximately 7:00 p.m. on Sundays and holidays. The 96E (Wilson Stn-Humber College EXPRESS) express branch operates from early September to late June, during the peak periods, from Monday to Friday only. The 96G (York Mills Stn-Sheppard & Torbarrie) short-turn branch operates during the peak periods, from Monday to Friday only.
