Can I smoke on TTC property?
Smoking is not allowed on TTC vehicles, in stations or bus bays, or any open area property operated by the TTC.
Can I bring my dog, my pets, on the TTC?
Leashed pets or pets secured in an enclosed container are welcome to travel on the TTC during weekday off-peak periods - that is before 6:30 am; 10:00 am to 3:30 pm; after 7:00 pm. A Service Animal may accompany a passenger at any time. See the TTC By-law, Section 3, for full details. 
Can I bring my bicycle on the TTC?
On buses, you can use the bike racks any time of the day - see Bicycles, Rack It and Rocket for full details. During weekday peak periods, 6:30 am to 10:00 am; and 3:30 pm to 7:00 pm, bicycles and other large objects are not allowed on TTC vehicles. See the TTC By-law, Section 3.11, for full details.
What time does the subway start and end?
The subway/RT hours of operation on weekdays and Saturdays are approximately 6:00am to 1:30am, and Sunday service approximately 9:00am to 1:30am.
What time does the subway start on Holidays?
On Christmas Day and New Year’s Day the subway/RT starts at approximately 9:00am. Typically, Holiday service for buses and streetcars vary, see your route schedule on-line, or call Customer Information at 416-393-4636.
My bus is late, is it cancelled?
Delays can happen during bad weather conditions or because of construction or traffic congestion.
How do I get a bus schedule for my route?
You can access all route schedules from the TTC’s website. If you do not have an internet connection our Customer Information Representatives can mail a schedule out to you. Please call 416-393-4636 and press "0" to speak with a representative
Where is the TTC Head Office?
The TTC Head Office is located at 1900 Yonge Street, at the Davisville subway station.
What are the hours for the Telephone Information line?
The Telephone Information line is open 7 days a week from 8:00am - 6:00pm, except on holidays, the office is closed.
How do I file a complaint or compliment?
You can file a complaint or compliment by calling Customer Service at 416-393-3030, Monday to Friday from 8:00am to 5:00pm. You can also email our Customer Service Department via our website.
I lost my purse on the bus. Can you please contact the bus driver for me?
Please contact our Customer Service Department at 416-393-3030 (Monday – Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm) or our Customer Information Office at 416-393-4636 and a representative will be able to assist you in locating your lost item if possible.
I lost my cell phone on the train. Where can I go to look for it?
Call the TTC Lost Articles Office at 416-393-4100, Monday to Friday 12 noon until 5:00pm. The TTC Lost Articles Office is located at the Bay subway station. You can also visit Lost Articles Monday to Friday, from 8:00am until 5:00pm.
Can I plan my trip on line?
Yes, the TTC Trip Planner is available on-line. If you need extra help in planning your trip, contact our Customer Information office from 8:00am – 6:00pm daily (except statutory holidays) at 416-393-4636.
Can I get to the Toronto Pearson International Airport on the TTC?
Yes, the TTC provides four services to the Airport. The 192 Airport Rocket route provides all-day accessible express bus service from Kipling Station; the 58A Malton route provides all-day bus service from Lawrence West Station; the 300A Bloor-Danforth route provides overnight bus service from Warden Avenue, west along Danforth Avenue and Bloor Street to the Airport; and the 307 Eglinton West route provides overnight bus service from Yonge Street & Eglinton Avenue to the Airport. How do I know if the elevator at my station is working?
Call the TTC Lift-Line before you travel - 416-539-LIFT (5438). Recorded TTC elevator status is updated daily on our automated system, and when service difficulties arise. You can access this system by calling 416-393-4636; press "5" and then "2" for current elevator updates.

Several non-TTC buildings connect with subway stations and allow elevator access to the street through their properties. For operating status of elevators in these developments connected to subway stations, you must call the property directly - details and telephone numbers are listed on each station page, where applicable.

 

Fares Information

What type of fare media can I purchase from the TTC Pass Vending Machine?
By debit card only, the Pass Vending Machine (PVM) typically sells the Adult Metropass, the Senior/Student Metropass, and the Adult Weekly Pass. Some PVM’s sell the GTA Weekly Pass as well. See "Pass Vending Machine" for details on specific fare media available at different locations.
Can I purchase a Metropass with a credit card?
You can purchase a Metropass with a credit card either with Visa, MasterCard or American Express, at Union, Dundas, Bloor-Yonge and Davisville subway stations.
When can I purchase a new Metropass?
The Metropass is sold from the 24th day of the month prior, until the fourth business day of the month for which the pass will be used.
Can I use my Metropass before the first of the month?
No, the Metropass is valid from the first of the month until the end of the month only.
Can I use my Metropass north of Steeles?
No, the Metropass is only valid on all TTC vehicles south of Steeles.
I’m on a TTC bus travelling north of Steeles and the bus driver asked me to pay an extra fare. Why is that necessary?
For routes North of Steeles Avenue, you have to pay the York Region transit fare, even though you are on a TTC bus. Extra fare is also required on the 58 Malton - West of Jetliner Drive & Airport Road, and on the 32B Eglinton West - West of Skymark & Explorer.
Where can I use my GTA pass?
The Greater Toronto Area (GTA) Weekly Pass is an accepted fare on all TTC, Mississauga, Brampton and York Region Transit routes, including service for persons with disabilities which are operated by these systems. Customers in possession of a GTA Pass will not be required to pay the additional zone fare when crossing municipal boundaries.
Can I use my Day Pass during the week for more than one person?
No, any one day Monday to Friday, the Day Pass is good for one person only, from the start of service until 5:30am the next day. On Saturdays, Sundays and statutory holidays you may use the Day Pass for up to six people (maximum of two adults, and not more than 4 children/youths 19 years of age or under), from the start of service until 5:30am the next day.

How do I become a Wheel-Trans Customer?

How do I pay for a Wheel-Trans trip?
Use TTC tickets, tokens, a transit pass or pay exact cash fare. If you pay cash to ride Wheel-Trans, please have the exact fare. Bus drivers and taxi drivers do not sell tickets, tokens or make change.
Where can I travel with Wheel-Trans?
Wheel-Trans provides door-to-door service every day from about 6:00am to 1:00am within the City of Toronto and to Toronto Pearson International Airport with connections to services in adjacent municipalities.
Can someone travel with me on a Wheel-Trans bus?
From Monday to Friday each Wheel-Trans Registrant can be accompanied by one escort. Additional escorts are permitted on weekends and statutory holidays. Escorts must also pay a valid fare to travel.
