TTC service on Bloor-Danforth subway line resumes

The Bloor-Danforth subway line has reopened and full service has resumed.

“The TTC is vital to the people of Toronto,” said Toronto Mayor David Miller. “I am extremely pleased that Torontonians can rely on the TTC for their commute home this afternoon. I want to thank Toronto Hydro and the TTC for ensuring subways are running safely for the 1.6 million people who rely on the TTC each day.”

The Toronto Transit Commission moves 465 million people every year – about 1.6 million riders every weekday. The TTC is the third largest public transit system in North America servicing some

4.5 million people in the Greater Toronto Area, with a network of subways, streetcars, buses, and a specialized service, Wheel-Trans, for people who require accessible transportation.
