  • “Know Your TTC” public information campaign hits buses, streetcars, subways
    January 6, 2012 - The Toronto Transit Commission, today, begins an eight-week customer information campaign to appear in all buses, streetcars and subways, including subway stations. Called “Moving toward a better tomorrow,” the campaign includes five distinct posters designed to inform TTC customers about the importance of better transit funding, investments that are being made in transit, the positive economic and environmental impact of a healthy transit system, how the TTC is improving customer service, and the value the TTC has on one’s personal budget.
  • Man gets night-time TTC ban and 21 days in jail for assault
    January 5, 2012 -

    A 19-year-old man was sentenced to 21 days in jail, and banned from the TTC between 11 p.m. and 6 a.m., for assaulting a TTC uniformed supervisor.

    December 20, 2011 - The TTC is pleased to announce that as of yesterday, Monday, December 19, with the retirement of the TTC’s last old, non-accessible buses, the entire TTC bus network is now fully accessible.
  • TTC New Year’s Eve service free after midnight, January 1
    December 19, 2011 - On New Year’s Eve, the Toronto Transit Commission will offer free, extended service after midnight to 4 a.m.
  • TTC budget: Commission restores some service, 10-cent fare increase approved
    December 15, 2011 - The Toronto Transit Commission, yesterday, approved the TTC’s 2012 operating, capital and Wheel-Trans budgets, including a 10-cent fare increase effective Jan. 1, 2012.
  • Man gets three-year TTC ban, 63 days in jail for assault
    December 8, 2011 - A 31-year-old man was sentenced to a three-year ban from all TTC property, including buses, streetcars and subway trains, in addition to a 63-day jail-term and three years probation for assault.
