Reporting to the Project Manager - Signals and Train Control Engineering, you are responsible for project control activities including budget cost control and scheduling, as they relate to major Capital projects for the Signals and Train Control Engineering Department. You are also responsible for various planning, analysis/monitoring and reporting functions to support project cost and schedule management.  Responsible for treating passengers and/or employees with respect and dignity and ensuring the needs of passengers or employees with disabilities are accommodated and/or addressed (if applicable and within their area of responsibility) in accordance with the Ontario Human Rights Code and Related Orders so that they can fully benefit from the TTC as a service-provider and an employer. 

Skills/Knowledge/Experience

You require knowledge of signals and train control engineering and construction principles, practices and methods. You have a good knowledge of the concepts and practices relating to project controls and project management systems. You possess extensive knowledge of cost engineering and scheduling techniques including earned value and trend analysis. You have sound judgement; proven analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills; strong organizational, interpersonal, verbal and written and communication skills. You are proficient in the use of computer based scheduling systems (Primavera) and other computerized applications related to the work (Word, Excel).  Must be able to co-ordinate the efforts of others to accomplish objectives. These skills and knowledge would normally be acquired through a college diploma in an Engineering or Construction related discipline or the equivalent, and/or relevant experience gained in cost and scheduling control for large projects. Must have or rapidly acquire a comprehensive knowledge of the Ontario Human Rights Code and Related Orders including disability accommodation and accessibility requirements pertaining to passengers and employees.

Annual Salary Range: $64,846.60 - $81,026.40 (Level 8)
