You can claim the Federal Transit Tax Credit for these passes:

  • Monthly Metropass (Adult and Senior/Student)
  • Weekly Pass (Adult and Senior/Student)
  • GTA Pass

2008 Tax Credit

  • Effective January 2008, a signature area is included on the back of all TTC Passes.
  • To claim the Federal Transit Tax Credit, CRA requires that the claimant sign the Pass. Please note that the CRA signature requirement does not affect the transferability of TTC Passes. The current rules for transferring a pass will continue to apply in 2008.
  • The Weekly Pass and the GTA Pass are eligible for the Federal Transit Tax Credit under certain terms and conditions - the detailed terms can be found at the Canadian Revenue Agency (CRA) website provided below.
