Current Projects
Mayor Ford has requested that the TTC develop a new transit plan consistent with his platform. Work on a new plan is underway. For more info on the current plan see the Metrolinx website at http://www.metrolinx.com 
Through Metrolinx, the Province of Ontario is providing funding for the four priority Transit City projects. Each project will be built in two phases with phase one timelines listed below. Phase two timelines have not yet been determined.
Sheppard East LRT
This route will operate between Don Mills subway station and Meadowvale Road in northeast Scarborough and will intersect with the Sheppard subway line, GO Transit Stouffville line, Don Mills LRT and the Malvern LRT. Partial funding for this project has also been provided by the Government of Canada.
Length of project: 14km
Number of stops: 30
Phase one: 12km, 26 stops
Start of construction: 2009

Finch West LRT
This route will originate at Finch station on the Yonge subway line and travel west, connecting to the extension of the Spadina Subway, the Jane LRT and provide service to Humber College’s North Campus.
Length of project: 17km
Number of Stops: 30
Phase one: 11km, 20 stops
Start of construction: 2015
Phase one scheduled start of service: 2019

Eglinton Crosstown LRT
This route will link Kennedy subway station in the east with Pearson Airport and will operate underground for an approximate distance of 10km from Laird Drive in the east to Keele Street in the west. Customers will be able to connect with the Bloor-Danforth subway, Yonge-University-Spadina subway and both the Don Mills LRT and Jane LRT.

Phase one: 19km, 27 stops
Start of construction: 2010
Phase one scheduled start of service: 2020

Scarborough RT
This project will redevelop the current system into a modern LRT as well as extend the project from its current terminus at McCowan subway station north to Sheppard Avenue.
Length of project: 11.4km
Number of stations: 9
Phase one: 9.9km, 8 stations
Start of construction: 2015
