Station Modernization Details

TTC Chair Adam Giambrone officially launched "Station Modernization", a program to revitalize the Bloor-Danforth and the University line stations, on July 12, 2007.

Dufferin Station

Commencing in late 2009, TTC will begin a 2.5 year Modernization Program at Dufferin Station

Islington Station Improvements Project

Islington Station will be redeveloped with a new TTC bus terminal, new entrances and an expanded passenger pick-up and drop-off facility. New elevators will provide full accessibility to all levels of the station.

Kipling Station Improvements Project

Once construction is complete, Mississauga Transit and GO Transit bus services will operate from a new 14-bay inter-regional bus terminal at Kipling Station. New entrances and expanded passenger pick-up and drop-off facilities will improve station access.

Pape Station

The Bloor-Danforth Subway was opened in 1966. After over 40 years, these stations are showing signs of wear and age with most stations still having their original wall, floor, and ceiling finishes and signage.

Victoria Park Bus Terminal Replacement Project

In Fall of 2008, the TTC began construction on the Victoria Park Bus Terminal Replacement Project.
