Post-Secondary pass arrives in time for school

September 2010
The new, transferable Post-Secondary Student Metropass went on sale on Aug. 24.
The monthly pass sells for $99 (same price as the Student Metropass) at all Collector Booths and at participating retailers. About 350,000 students are eligible for the pass.
“That’s a good deal for students,” said TTC Chair Adam Giambrone. “It offers them a chance to save money and we’re looking to encourage ridership in this demographic, who are our future riders.”
The new pass is available for full-time or part-time post-secondary students, with no age restriction, that are enrolled in a program granting a degree or diploma only as defined in Post-Secondary Education Choice and Excellence Act, 2000. The pass must be used with a Student Photo ID, which costs $7 (or $5.25 at Sherbourne Station).
The Post-Secondary Student Metropass sells for the same price as the Senior/Student Metropass. It’s not available through the Metropass Discount Plan program.
