Committed to Public Safety image of four faces

A public safety campaign aimed at keeping customers and employees alert to safety and security concerns on the transit system rolled out in October.

Hundreds of subway posters, billboards and vehicle car cards showing a row of eyes will be staring back at you as a reminder to look around and be aware of your surroundings. The Committed to Public Safety Campaign also includes platform screen messages, public address announcements and ads in the Metro newspaper.

“It’s part of an ongoing security awareness program for both the public and our employees,” said Chief Special Constable Terry Andrews. “We’re basically asking our riders to report any security concerns that they observe and to report it to a police officer or an employee in uniform.”
