Defibrillator demonstration and announcement at Bloor-Yonge Station

The TTC announced the installation of Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs) in subway stations across the system on March 2.

A total of 30 defibrillators will be installed at the TTC’s 30 busiest stations by late spring. The units will be located in the vicinity Collector Booths, in glass-fronted white cabinets about 15 inches by 13 inches in size.

“Defibrillators are an important safety tool to help protect the well-being of our riders,” said TTC Vice-Chair Joe Mihevc.
