Next Train Arrival up at 13 stations
April 2009
The TTC increased the number of stations that feature Next Train Arrival (NTA) times. The information is located on the bottom of the OneStop platform video screens.
NTA lets customers know how many minutes they will have to wait until the next subway trains pulls into the station. While service without disruptions is easy to predict – two-and-a-half minutes during rush hour and five minutes at other times – next train notification will prove most beneficial when there are delays on the system.
NTA began as a pilot at Dundas Station last September. These 13 stations are now equipped with the system:
- Finch
- Union
- King
- Queen
- Dundas
- Eglinton West
- St. George
- Bay
- Yonge
- Keele
- Bloor
- High Park
- St. Andrew
All subway stations are scheduled to have NTA information in place by the end of 2009.
